It's On Again
Melbourne Cup Weekend Coaching Camp 2009
30th October to 8th November 2009
The Bendigo Gliding Club is again hosting the annual Melbourne Cup Weekend Coaching Camp at its Raywood Airfield.
The coaching aspects of the camp will be overseen by the VSA Coach, Peter Buskens and the RTO Sport, David Wilson, ably assisted by a number of very experienced cross country pilots.
The weekend will involve daily lectures, briefings and task setting aimed at developing cross country flying skills.
All pilots are welcome and all levels of experience can be catered for. The Vintage Glider Association are again holding a gathering at the field in conjunction with the camp so there will be something for everybody.
While launches are expected to be available from Friday, the main activity will be from Saturday 31st to Tuesday 3rd. Depending on the level of interest and the weather, launches will continue to be available for the remainder of the week and into the following weekend.
Aerotow and winch launching will be available. There will be a movement charge of $10/day/visiting aircraft as a contribution to the continued development of the field and facilities. Previous contributions of this nature will again be evident this year in the improved facilities.
All participating pilots will be required to demonstrate current GFA & Club membership and all aircraft are required to have a current Maintenance Release. Failure to have the required paper work up to date will result in launching being refused.
